This project is part of a brand refresh for VTS Design, a Web Design and Hosting company based in Malton, North Yorkshire.

Mark was looking for a new logo and imagery that would launch with a new look website at the start of 2014, the project included a new logo design with secondary logos for use on social media sites.

The Sound and Music from Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

A great video on the role of sound in the US remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. The role sound and music plays in film is massively underated and this video gives a good look into the creative process and the importance it plays in making The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo a fantastic film.  


Another film that has a fantastic score and utilises sound to improve the experience is Black Swan, I've also embeded a look into the audio development of Darren Aronofsky's 2011 epic.

Return of the Alfa Binding Theory

The Alfa Binding Theory, possibly the best band never signed, are back after a 2 year break with their new track "REACT".  The tune came out of the blue last week, hopefully we will see the lads back playing live soon. With a bunch of new material and also playing some of their classics the gigs will be sure to fill venues once again.

Budweiser Canada Super Bowl Commercial

This weekend sees the Super Bowl take place in America, the Super Bowl is the most watched sports event in the world with over 110 million Americans expected to tune in.  Not only do people watch it for the game one of the biggest talking points of the Super Bowl is the commercials, with a 30 second commercials costing $3.5 million, the ads get more coverage than the game itself.  Brands will be launching new products and generally trying to outdo each other with many already releaseing teasers for their Super Bowl adverts, it's certainly big business.


The Super Bowl is the pinnacle of sporting platforms and anyone who's ever played any sport has imagined what it would be like to be playing in front of thousands of screaming fans in impressive arenas.  Dreams of scoring a winning goal at Wembley can make the hairs on your neck stand up and evokes great emotions even thinking of it, well Budweiser Canada  have made this a reality for 2 small town hockey teams, they told two hockey teams they were filming a documentary and took about filming the event as it unfolded, the players will never forget the night and the idea has produced a great advert.
